ASME SA 234 WP9 Pipe Fittings is a nickel – iron – chromium austenitic alloy that was developed for maximum resistance to acid attack, specifically sulphuric acid. It is designed specifically to withstand sulphuric acid. The nickel, chromium, molybdenum and copper levels of ASTM A234 WP9 Alloy Butt Weld Pipe Fittings provide excellent general corrosion resistance. Restricted carbon plus columbium stabilization permits welded fabrications to be used in corrosive environments, normally without post - weld heat treatment.
